Miftaah Ul Qur’aan is a 4-part Arabic-English Qur’an learning series designed to help students gradually understand Qur’anic Arabic, vocabulary, grammar, and core Islamic teachings. It is widely used in madrasahs and beginner-to-intermediate Qur’an study programs.
The purpose of Miftaah ul Qur’aan (“Key to the Qur’an”) is to give students a practical pathway to:
- understand Qur’anic Arabic directly,
- recognise recurring Qur’anic vocabulary,
- improve concentration in salaah,
- and connect more deeply with the meanings of the Qur’an.

The book is structured progressively:

Part 1 focuses on:
- Basic Qur’anic vocabulary
- Essential Islamic beliefs (Allah, Prophets, Angels, Hereafter)
- Daily duas and salaah phrases
- Short surah translations
- Moral teachings from the Qur’an
- Simple sentence understanding and memorisation
It introduces learners to common Qur’anic words and repeatedly used phrases so they begin recognising meanings directly from the Qur’an.
- Parts 2 and 3 build on this by:
- Expanding Qur’anic vocabulary
- Introducing Arabic grammar patterns
- Teaching verb forms and sentence structures
- Helping students translate verses more independently
- Part 4 becomes more advanced and includes:
- Sarf (Arabic morphology)
- Verb patterns and root-word analysis
- Grammar rules
- Linguistic principles used in Qur’anic Arabic
- Practice with difficult Qur’anic words and forms
